NAIHE POSTGRADUATE STUDY GRANT

1. Eligibility and Offer Acceptance:

a. The NAIHE Postgraduate Study Grant (hereafter referred to as “Study Grant”) is applicable to all applicants who have received an offer for admission to NAIHE’s part-time postgraduate programs, including Graduate Certificate and Master’s programs.
b. Applicants must meet the admission requirements for their chosen course of study.
c. The Study Grant is automatically awarded to eligible students and is contingent upon their acceptance of the offer of admission.
d. If applicants choose to defer their acceptance of the offer to a future intake, the Study Grant percentage will be determine based on the prevailing rate relevant to the intake of acceptance.

2. Duration and Applicability:

a. The Study Grant covers a specified percentage of the tuition fees for the entirety of the postgraduate program.
b. The Study Grant is applicable only to tuition fees and does not cover any other associated costs.
c. The Study Grant does not apply to remodule fees.

3. Withdrawal, Rejoining and Leave of Absence:

a. If a student withdraws from the program (including administrative withdrawals), the Study Grant will cease immediately.
b. If a student chooses to rejoin after a withdrawal, necessitating a re-application, the Study Grant percentage will be determined based on the prevailing rate relevant to the intake of acceptance.
c. An application for Leave of Absence does not affect the Study Grant eligibility nor percentage.

4. Progression:

a. Progression to the next academic level, such as from Graduate Certificate to the Master’s program does not affect the Study Grant eligibility.
b. The Study Grant percentage granted upon enrolment in the Graduate Certificate will remain valid if the student advances to the Master’s program in the next available intake  provided the student progresses to the Master’s program in the next available intake.
c. Should there be a delay in progressing to the Master’s program beyond the next available intake, the prevailing Study Grant percentage will be applied upon acceptance.

5. Forfeiture:

a. The Study Grant may be withdrawn at any time if the grant holder’s progress or behaviour is deemed unsatisfactory, at NAIHE’s reasonable discretion.
b. Forfeiture may occur if the awardee breaches any applicable laws, exhibits conduct inconsistent with that of a deserving student, or faces disciplinary action.

6. Non-Transferable and Non-Exchangeable:

a. The Study Grant is non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and has no cash alternative.

7. Obligations of Recipients

a. Recipients are expected to uphold NAIHE’s values, and may be called upon to participate in ambassadorial activities, such as interviews for NAIHE’s publications, websites, and promotional materials.
b. There are no bond obligations associated with the Study Grant.

8. Amendments and Discontinuation:

a. NAIHE reserves the right to amend, suspend, or discontinue the Study Grant at any time without prior notice.
b. In the event of a dispute, NAIHE’s decision will be final and binding.

9. Future Awards:

a. If the Study Grant is forfeited or withdrawn for any reason, the awardee will not be eligible for any further subsequent award of the Study Grant.

By accepting the NAIHE Postgraduate Study Grant, the awardee agrees to abide by these terms and conditions. NAIHE reserves the right to interpret and enforce these terms at its sole discretion.
