Executive, Information Technology

Position Description 

The Executive, Information Technology is responsible for the day-to-day technical operations, focusing on providing comprehensive IT and desktop support for hardware and software to ensure operational continuity for staff and students. The role involves assisting in the successful implementation of IT projects through technical execution and stakeholder collaboration, ensuring that project meet institutional goals and security standards. Additionally, the incumbent contributes to simple application development and the maintenance of information repositories to enhance internal data management and reporting processes. All activities are conducted in alignment with the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) and University policies to maintain a secure and compliant digital environment

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in maintaining the IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, systems, and software.
  • Provide installation, configuration, and maintenance of desktop, laptop, network appliances and software.
  • Perform user account management and prepare laptop or desktop for new staffs.
  • Provide application and infrastructure technical support to all staffs and students.
  • Develop simple application and power automate workflow using Power App and Power Automate.
  • Co-ordinate with multiple vendors to ensure that various systems with dependencies are implemented at the same time or in a timely manner.
  • Oversee the IT asset management system to ensure all inventory records are consistently accurate, up-to-date, and reflect the real-time status of hardware and software.
  • Assist in the implementation of IT policies, procedures, and protocols to protect the organization’s data and systems.
  • Ensure all servers and laptops in our office have up-to-date anti-virus software installed.
  • Perform end-user daily data and network backup.
  • Perform documentation on IT procedures, checklists, system and network configuration.


Requirement

  • Diploma / Degree in Information Technology with at least one to two years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with education industry is a plus.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills including the ability to participate in a team environment demonstrating clear communication and mutual respect.

Lecturers (Media Communication/Business)

Position Description 

This position is offered on an initial two-year full-time fixed term basis. We are seeking a research active academic with a proven track record of effective teaching and experience in the field of Media Communication and in the field of Business. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Teaching: Should have the ability to address the following topics through different modules and subjects –

  • Media and Communication Concepts – This foundational course introduces students to major perspectives used in communication studies and introduces the basic communication theories, models, key terms and concepts used in the discipline. It introduces students to a broad range of theories to evaluate communication and media in its many forms and investigate its relationship to society and culture. Particular attention will be paid to communication functions, structures, audiences, news, media effects, advertising and propaganda, intersecting narratives such as gender, race and class that occur in communication contexts, as well as international and global communication, ideology and popular culture.
  • Digital Media Engagement – This course provides students with an opportunity to investigate a range of digital and social media forms and practices. It provides students with an opportunity to investigate social, political, economic, and cultural implications of digital media engagement from both Western and non-Western perspectives. Students will also create a professional profile that enables and equips students to connect with industry professionals and become work ready.
  • Create Your Own Business – This course explores activities, structures, and opportunities of creating a new (small) business in the media and communication industry. Students will gain an understanding of the increasingly fragmented and digitized job market on a local, national, and international level, and the common practice of freelancing Ethical and legal frameworks for creating a new business will be considered and practical aspects such as incorporation & governance, finances, budgeting time and money, intellectual property and copyright, as well as marketing will be discussed. Students will have the opportunity to work towards creating their own business.
  • Podcasting and Radio – In this course, students will develop the skills to work in radio broadcasting and produce audio stories for streamed or online delivery. The course will follow the production cycle of a podcast from conceiving an original podcast idea through production to post-production and distribution. Students will analyse audio storytelling genres, techniques, and formats, and create their own audio project suitable for dissemination via broadcast or online podcasting platforms. They will develop and apply live.
  • Public Relations Campaigns – This course focuses on researching and planning a real-world public relations campaign. Students will critically examine and evaluate a range of past campaigns considering strategic, theoretical, ethical and legal aspects of campaigning. The course simulates an agency scenario that offers students insights into professional agency processes and practices. Students will work independently to develop a comprehensive public relations campaign with a coherent storyline that addresses a client brief.
  • Multiplatform Journalism – The course blends practical experience with critical insights into news genres and careers. It will cover emerging trends in news, including strategies for dissemination of news via social media platforms. Students will develop advanced writing, researching, interviewing, and production skills suitable for multiplatform journalism. They will create fast turnaround, mobile news stories for television, online and social media audiences.
  • International Business Strategy – international Location Decisions: government policies towards multinational enterprises (MNEs), differences in political economy, ethics, culture and risk-assessment; resource and capability-based models of building competencies in international business; forms of International Market Involvement: market entry, intermediate arrangements and wholly owned market entry strategies; strategic alliances and networks: motivations, cooperation, learning and conflict within alliances; competition, cooperation and industry attractiveness: organisational structure and control in MNEs, HQ and subsidiary relationships, international management functions and knowledge management in MNEs.
  • International Trade Logistics – international logistics management; supply chain management; international transport management and inter-modal transport; export management: processes, documentation, tariffs, and customs; procurement processes; international services management; contemporary challenges in international trade logistics.
  • International Human Resource Management – international workplaces & cultural differences; IHRM & corporate strategy; cross cultural training & development; recruitment & selection of international employees; performance management of international assignees; compensation & repatriation of expatriates; issues in international industrial relations; national business system; cross-border alliances; future trends and challenges in IHRM.

Research:

  • Establish research programs and develop applications for external research funding.
  • Engage in collaborative research.

Selection Criteria

  • Minimum a PhD in Media Communication or Business or related discipline

Adjunct Lecturers (Commerce)

Position Description 

We are inviting expression of interest for Adjunct Lecturers in the Bachelor of Commerce. Areas include Accounting, Finance, Economics, Marketing, Management and Business Analytics – with priority given to Accounting ( e.g. Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Auditing and Assurance, Accounting Information Systems).

Key Responsibilities

Selection Criteria

  • Preferred: Completed PhD in Accounting (or Business with an Accounting specialisation) and recent peer-reviewed outputs (past 5 years) or a clear publications pipeline.

  • Practitioner/Instructional profiles: Strong CPA/CA (or equivalent) with significant, recent professional experience for non-coordinator roles (PA/IP/SP-aligned).

Key Responsibilities

Facilities & Logistics
• Oversee maintenance of classrooms, offices, and common areas.
