Classes for each module may be conducted in block teaching mode (Eg. intensive weekends) or weekly (i.e. Part-time – 2 days x 3 hours or Full time* – 5 days x 3 hours)

Total Contact Hours

Part-time & Full-time* – 24 hours/module x 4 modules (96 hours)

Course Requirements

To complete the program, students must pass core modules totalling 40 units.

Each module is 10 units unless stated otherwise.

  • EDUC6086 Introduction to Challenging Behaviour and Positive Support
  • EDUC6087 Educating Students with Development Diversity
  • EDUC6164 Critical Reflections in Special and Inclusive Education Settings

Lecturers

Minimum Academic Level

  • A 4-year/3-year Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent);

    or
  • Minimum 30 years old and 8 years of relevant work experience*

*Related fields/discipline areas are: Teaching, Early Childhood educator, Occupational therapy, Speech therapy, Physiotherapy, Psychology, Social work, Mental health care worker, Disability support worker, Community care worker, Art and Music therapy

Minimum Language Proficiency

Applicants for this program must satisfy a minimum English Language Proficiency Standard equivalent to an IELTS overall minimum of 6.5 with no subtest result below 6.0.

Fees are subjected to prevailing Goods and Service Tax (GST) and are payable on a modular basis before commencement of Trimester. The fees include all course materials but exclude textbooks (if applicable).
