Beyond Labels: Our Families, Our Stories

Beyond Labels 2026 KV v7

About The Event

What does inclusion look like when we move beyond labels and make space for people’s stories, experiences and perspectives?

Beyond Labels: Our Families, Our Stories brings together persons with disabilities, families, caregivers, educators and members of the community for a day of stories, conversations and connection.

Throughout the day, visitors can hear from speakers sharing diverse lived experiences, meet exhibitors with different experiences and perspectives, and discover the many ways inclusion can take shape in everyday life.

The programme also features an Inclusive Martial Arts Experience, offering a practical glimpse into how activities can be adapted to support participation by people with different abilities and needs. Participation in the experience requires separate registration, while members of the public are welcome to observe.

Whether you work in education or disability-related fields, have a personal connection to inclusion, or are simply curious to learn from people whose experiences may be different from your own, we invite you to come by, listen, explore and connect.

Admission is free and open to all. No registration is required for general admission — drop by anytime between 9am and 5pm and stay for as long as you like.
