Biography

Dr Julian Seng is a Lecturer in Business at the University of Newcastle, Australia (Singapore campus). Julian received his PhD in International Business from Copenhagen Business School on a fully funded scholarship, where his doctoral research examined the institutional foundations of entrepreneurial ecosystems in Singapore and Hong Kong. His research interests lie in entrepreneurship and innovation, with a particular focus on start-up policy and entrepreneurial ecosystems. His work has been published in leading peer-reviewed journals, including the International Review of Financial Analysis.

Julian is a Fellow of Advance HE (FHEA) and brings over six years of teaching experience across a range of international business schools. Prior to joining the University of Newcastle, he taught at institutions including Copenhagen Business School, King’s Business School (King’s College London), Greenwich Business School (University of Greenwich), and SOAS School of Finance and Management (SOAS University of London).
