Global Compact Network Singapore Summit 2022

As a Gold Partner of the Global Compact Network Singapore Summit 2022, we are delighted to support the Global Compact Network Singapore in its stewardship of the Sustainable Development Goals. Our CEO and Pro Vice chancellor, Professor Tony Travaglione, Academic Director, Julia Connell, and Deputy Director, Richard Soh, attended this year’s Global Compact Network Singapore Summit to support this initiative.

Diverse sustainability leaders came together for the event, which was insightful, to network, learn, and share perspectives on current sustainability concerns.

This year’s summit theme, “Global Challenges, Shared Agenda – Time for Decisive Action,” explored what it means to create ethical ecosystems and enterprises that are centered on our people and the planet while generating long-term value for stakeholders.

Plenary talks were covered on various topics such as decarbonising to optimise business operations, paving the way for circular supply chains, and distruptive innovations that enable positive transformation.

“First movers will capture upsides, while those who are slow to act will lose out to their competitors and may be written off as doing too little, too late,” said Mr Teo Chee Han, Senior Minister and Coordinating Minister for National Security who was the guest of honour for this occasion.
