About The Event
Psychological assessments are widely used in recruitment, leadership development and talent management. But what can a personality assessment actually tell us about how someone will perform, lead, collaborate or develop at work?
Personality can provide a useful head start. Well-designed assessments can help us identify patterns in how people tend to think, behave and respond to different situations. But these insights are probabilistic, not deterministic. They describe tendencies rather than destinies, and they are only one part of understanding a person at work.
In this second instalment of Psyc@Work, James Morley-Kirk draws on more than two decades of experience in psychometric assessment to explore what psychological assessment can genuinely contribute to workplace decisions, where its limitations lie, and how organisations and individuals can use assessment intelligently without turning psychological insight into a label or verdict.
