Program Overview

The Master of Health Economics, Management and Policy equips healthcare sector leaders, policymakers and analysts with the critical skills to address the evolving complexities of modern healthcare systems. The program has been developed in response to a growing demand both nationally and internationally for expertise in health leadership and management, policy and governance and economics and evaluation. You will gain an in-depth understanding on how to make data-driven decisions, optimise healthcare delivery, and shape policies that improve healthcare outcomes on a global scale.

What You Will Study

To complete the program, students must pass modules totalling 120 units, consisting of 60 units of core modules and 60 units of directed modules.
Each module is 10 units unless stated otherwise.

Entry Requirements

Minimum Academic Level

  • A Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in a relevant discipline*;

    or
  • An Honours Bachelor degree, Graduate Certificate (or equivalent) in any discipline;

    or
  • Minimum 30 years old and 8 years of relevant work experience*;

    or
  • Successful completion of the UON Graduate Certificate in Health Economics, Management and Policy program

*Relevant organisational experience includes, but is not limited to, experience in business, management, health, IT, social services, and governance/policy professions. Work experience can be demonstrated through: certified copies of all relevant qualifications, a detailed CV, and a statement of service or signed letters from employers confirming your role, duties and period of employment.

Minimum Language Proficiency

Applicants for this program must satisfy a minimum English Language Proficiency Standard equivalent to an IELTS overall minimum of 6.5 with no subtest result below 6.0.

Fees are subjected to prevailing Goods and Service Tax (GST) and are payable on a modular basis before commencement of Trimester. The fees include all course materials but exclude textbooks (if applicable). Refer here for other miscellaneous fees.
